“Ring of Fire” invites builders to explore the many nations and cultures that ring the Pacific Ocean, from island atolls and coastal jungles to bustling cities and carrier task forces at sea. The theme celebrates the history, conflicts, culture and technology of countries bordering the Pacific, offering endless inspiration for aircraft, ships, armor, figures, sci-fi and gunpla.

Two special awards will be presented for the Ring of Fire theme: one recognizing the best historical subject based on real-world subjects , and one honoring the best fictional subject other imaginative interpretations of the region
