    The Mistel Project

    in On the Bench

Being new here, compliments of a Mr.Wilsford , I thought I should post something up, ssooooo here it is, my Luftwaffe answer to the convoy escort carrier issue. Dragons JU 188 with the Hobby Boss D-12 Torpedo version. First thing I'm going to say is if you want to build a torpedo version D-12, don't waste the extra cash on the Hobby Boss Version with the torpedo as the torpedo looks nothing like anything anyone ever used and you'll need an after market one anyway, unless you don't care.

This is Kind of an on again off again project so updates will be a bit sporadic.

Is that the AIMS 188 conversion for the 1/32 Revell JU88? Or is that 1/48 scale? Rather unique Mistel pairing. It will look good.

It's the Dragon 1/48 JU188 kit, I started it before AIMS came out with his conversion, I would have rather use that but such is life :).

This will be a fun project to follow! I haven't gotten up the nerve yet to do a Mistel project...

Thanks :) The Mistel part is easy, the rest is.......well it's Dragon with all the issues, doable but a bit of a pain. If you do decide to take the plunge toss the FW 190 (or sell it to some unsuspecting poor sot) and get a Hasegawa kit instead, unless of course you are a plastic masochist. Or you could also get a Me109 F (not ICM's) as there are 3 types of warhead included.

Just for fun I've been building up the Warhead although I won't be using it
